sounds like a graphics problem, you need at LEAST 256mb RAM for sims 2. how much ram do you have on your system. if it's low then you could try turning off your internet connection and deactivating your antivirus during the time you are playing your sims2 as a lot of antivirus use a lot of RAM.

it is your pics card causing this. it would want to't cope with the game. Your really concepts are to improve your card, uninstall the game, or study a thanks to ignore it. a good number of folk have had this challenge. Sorry!!

If they are flashing red its due to your graphics card, try updating your drivers for it.
