Who is King Ghidorah......... hilarious....
I can't pick favorites, that's like asking Spider-Man or Venom. Every hero needs a villain to keep his life interesting, and Godzilla finds it in the three headed terror.
Godzilla's design is relatively simple. A gigantic T-Rex with Stegosaurus-type spikes on his back. Don't get me wrong, he's awesome. But Ghidorah is such an exotic creature, covered with golden scales, and shooting lightning! He wins the award for "Most Creative".
Godzilla has amazing regenerative abilities, which has always kept him coming back for more, no matter how bad the beating. King Ghidorah lacks that ability. However, even without regeneration Ghidorah has always been one of Godzilla's toughest opponents.
Typically Godzilla needs to ally himself with one or two other monsters in order to beat him. (except for Godzilla vs King Ghidorah) The one time Godzilla severed the middle head, it didn't even kill him!!! And he came back as Mecha-King Ghidorah!!! Talk about hard to beat...
In Final Wars, Ghidorah got a make-over in the form of Keiser Ghidorah. He kicked some serious monster tail.... At one point, he was holding Godzilla up by the neck... sucking out his power. It was only through the efforts of the Humans that Godzilla was able to overpower his opponent.
No matter what movie he appears in, the King always gives Godzilla a run for his money.

Godzilla. In the movie, final wars Godzilla rips one of Ghidora's head off. Watch that movie, Godzilla kicks butt.
