Hey, I spend a lot of time looking at them online and at store (well, not a lot of time) But I look at the prices and I wonder if there are any cheaper things out there.

Example: http://hawthornevillage.collectiblestoday.com/ct/store/hw/_/_prod/_17+54+565/_/_6/_/_/_Y

Yeah, I am only 14 and have enough money to buy one, but is there any cheaper sets out there? (I have $62 spending money, not money from my savings.)

Since you seem so drawn to them, you might like to begin learning how to make them yourself. There are a lot of miniaturists out there who make all kinds of miniatures from dollhouses and everything that goes in them or outside them, to model railroad minaturists who mostly concentrate on landscaping/trees/structures, etc.
We who like to play with polymer clay even make whole houses of various small sizes (even tiny), and all kinds of things to go with them, from polymer clay. It can even be fun to make them with a seasonal theme, like Christmas or Halloween, etc.

If you're interested in starting to learn to make your own little houses and little things to go with them, you might want to check out these pages at my website (they have lessons, etc. on polymer clay things to make, as well as various general links to miniature sites, etc.):

Since you are just starting to collect, and have a limited budget, I would suggest you try the Dollar Tree in your area. They had an adorable village this year. It contained everything you would want, even lighted light posts!.Starting very soon they will have their Easter Village. Go check it out and see if you like what they offer.

I see them alot at Walmart, they are not the whole sets, and they are not the fancy collector's addition ones, but they are very reasonably priced. Most the pieces I see are about 5-10 dollars each. The little side items, like the trees and people and such, you can usually get in small sets.

if u go to ur craft stores or even dept stores, sometimes flower shops, after xmas , u can get them usually for half price. u can also try any xmas shops in ur area {they sell just xmas stuff} because they have sales too.
just remember when u r collecting things that it takes a long time for them to b worth anymore than u paid for them, if u r collecting just for u then go for it. if it is for reselling down the road, just remember it is only worth what some one wants to pay for it

Have you tried ebay? I used to buy them at craft stores and paint them myself. I have the entire Dikens Villiage I painted two of the villages, one for my son and one for my daughter. She displays hers every Christmas. I have his to display because he is a boy and don't want to display things like that. We get a lot of complements on them. We set them up on a table on our pourches at Christmas time.Almost forgot, I have seen some pieces in the thrift stores.

You can buy them at Michael's using a 40% off coupon that comes every week in your local flyer if you have one near you. Also, being that it's after Christmas, you can find them on clearance if you look for them.
Good luck!
