I have Windows XP but I have been downloading tons of old DOS games. I can't get Battle Chess to work - I can get the game to open but it plays in the Computer versus Computer mode. I can watch but I can't play. I can't get the hidden dropdown menu to appear either. It also seems to run pretty slow. I have tried changing the settings to make it run as "Windows 95 Compatible" and changed the size to "Window" instead of fullscreen, and I have downloaded it from many different sites. I still can't get it to work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

To Nunoyvgvna Awi: No problem! - I loved this game when I was a kid. If I find it, I'll try to contact you, and if you do, you can contact me.

Another good site if you love old DOS games:

If you are familiar with Nintendo emulators, you can download the emulator which runs on your computer to act as a Nintendo system then download Battle Chess because it was on 8-bit Nintendo as an actual game.

Here is some more info on Battle Chess. There is a Battle-chess 2 that features Ancient Oriental pieces. You have any questions about the emu and Battle-chess ROM hit we with an email.
