Is Jesus the most influencial person in human history. Whether or not he was Gods son aside, history recognizes him as a man that actually did exist. Is he the most influencial person in human history, Id like both atheist and non atheist views.

P.S. This is for a school project so if you could explain why you believe what you that would be great. IF you dont think so please tell me who is.

Sorry, Grog of the Cave Bear Clan in the year 39,563 BC was dubbed "the most influencial person in human history" for his creation of god, angels, heaven and hell to keep his tribe in line. The bribe of hell and threat of heaven earned him the most prolific distinction.

Yes, because Jesus has influenced not only people personally, but politics, religion, education, wars, fashion, jewelry, morals, myths, literature, art, architecture, diet, music, movies, dance, science, government, and law. Every aspect of the human condition, including the belief in afterlife has been affected by Jesus and his teachings. Jesus has also profoundly affected other established religions, such as Judaism and emperor worship.

Whether or not a person believes Jesus is divine or just a good man, his influence has reached more people for longer than any other teacher or leader.

Buddha and Mohammed would be the only two other people who would come close. Both, because of the sheer numbers of Buddhist and Islamic adherents throughout the Orient and the Islamic world. Jesus, however, has had a farther-reaching and profound effect on world culture than any other person.

While I agree that Jesus was a very influential person, as an American I (and probably you) are seeing the issue from a biased side. We think more about Jesus that other religious leaders because that is who the majority of people in our culture believe in. Mohammed and the Buddha were similarly influential in their sides of the globe. Perhaps a better and safer statement to make would be that Jesus was the most influential person in WESTERN history.

I think so. Jesus was the most humblest and greatest person alive.
He was the son of God, and yet he was born in a stinking barn, and he died for us, sinners(who don't understand the consept or meaning of his word, or are ingrateful), when those people wanted him to die, Jesus could have killed them in a split second. But he died for us, because he wanted us to have a chance to live oneday in a glorious place called "Heaven." He loves us.

Sure there are alot of other influencial people. I'm only 13, I don't know everything.

I'd say He was. Most people know he existed and that he was a good teacher thats so weird. Jesus himself said that he was God. He wouldn't if he was a good teacher because good teachers don't lie. There is only 3 choices of who he is. Liar, Lunatic, or Lord. Remember if he knew he was not God but was lying he actually died for that willingly. if he was a lunatic his teachings would be confused but they are the most sanest in history. That only leaves the choice that Jesus is Lord! Most of his teachings are used and B.C. and A.D. is made up for him. The greatest works of art and music are inspired by him. Lots of missions are started because of him.

No one in history has changed the world like Jesus Christ and his disciples. Most historical figures are forgotten about. You learn about them in school, otherwise you'd never hear about them. But Jesus has influenced lives for 2007 years. Even the people in our history books. Jesus is in the homes of millions of people around the world. Many years ago millions died for this belief in Jesus. Look how strong his church (people) are today. No one person has done anything like that. That's why I believe that he was God in the flesh.

Yes, considering that Jesus started His ministry only when He was 30 years old. He died at 33. It took him only 3 years to achieve an impact on people's lives, even up to now, 2000 years later.
His life impacted all kinds of people, regardless of their social status, culture or intellect.

And He did this simply by teaching, loving, dying and resurrecting.

If he was "the most" influential person in history, why aren't many following his teachings, especially those in particularly, a very prominent government, who claim to be his followers?!?
