Where or in what things or people does true contentment lie? What things do you think would make you most happiest to the point you don't have to search for anything else?

I believe the only thing that will truly leave you happy is Jesus. As you have probably experienced, "things" always loose their luster to you and then you want something else.

Don't get me wrong, when you become saved you don't magically loose all desire for stuff. I would still love a bigger house and a new car, but I understand that they will never truly bring joy.

To make my point a little more, how many really rich people have you talked to that are content with their millions? If they have $100,000,000 then they are always looking for $101,000,000.

Thanks for asking, :)

If I had these I would be happy:

Pursuit of knowledge
Well-being
And company of friends with wine
Freedom from poverty - I only need enough to feed myself and dependents, buy a meal for friends, and pay for my 10 a week book habit :-)

Also and this is a lot harder:

Striving to - I'm a long way of from these goals, but I would like to lead my live causing no-one harm, but happiness if I can, and letting people live their own lives without interference, making judgements, or trying to convert them to your way of thinking - so I would like to always:

i) Speak in a non hurtful, not exaggerated, truthful way
ii) Avoiding action that would do harm
iii) Have a livelihood does not harm in any way oneself or others; directly or indirectly

Well one must know the difference between contentment and stagnation. Christ has made me a person so happy that I'm content in living for him. But every day of my life I awake and pursue new dreams and goals, that is what I believe Christ expects from us.

2.) True love of another
3.) True love for another.

I could stop with this one, because I did not need to look further to quench my spiritual thirst:

Personal relationship with Jesus Christ the Lord.

But two more things really bring me deep satisfaction but only because of Jesus who has shown me what life is about.

Marriage to my wife.

Having children with my wife.
