Cutting yourself, that's a way to actualize pain. You have all this pain built up inside you, but it's emotional pain, mental anguish. It doesn't heal, it doesn't form an itchy scab you can scratch, it doesn't leave a scar behind to remind you of the really great or really goofy thing you did to get that wound.

So you cut, to exchange the emotional pain for physical pain.

But there are other ways to ease the pain.

The first and most important thing to know is that life gets better. When you escape high school and leave your town, there's a whole world of people and experiences out there. Nobody out there knows you or remembers the dorky things you did when you were a kid or cares about who talked to you and who ignored you in high school.

There's good stuff out there. It's worth exploring.

The second thing to know is that there is help available for you. You just have to ask for it, like you asked us to answer you.

You could talk to your parents, if you think they'll help you. Tell them how much you hurt inside and ask if they'll help you get therapy.

You could call a suicide hot line and talk to someone who's trained to listen and respond to people in pain.

You could call a teen support line and speak with people who've been where you are, emotionally, and want to help you.

You could go to the hospital and ask to speak with a therapist.

The world is full of options and possibilities. There are plenty of interesting people out there, most of them more interesting than friends who want to play with your head by pretending you don't exist. Just reaching out and hearing a caring voice in return will ease the pain.

Take care of yourself.

Cameron, you are not alone. You know who you are. You also know there are some real jerks out there, both sexes. So take a moment to look inside yourself and recognize how truly great and wonderful you are. Look what you can do with a computer. Look at how you can understand life. Look at your heightened degree of empathy that most people don't have. You have insight that others lack. This makes you a pretty special person. Honor yourself for your own wonderful qualities. Look for ways to honor yourself. As you come to accept yourself others will accept you as well. Also, seriously consider therapy/counseling. Cutting yourself is not the answer. Learning to love yourself is the answer. Acknowledge your own greatness, love yourself and the world will beat a path to your door. Good luck and remember, you are not alone out there.

Do NOT do any harm to yourself. I know this is said a lot, but look for other friends, the current ones don't seem to be worth it. Get involved in some activity!

You probably scare everyone out of your life. You want to have friends you have to be a friend. The angst is because primarily of hormones. Are you going to let a bit of chemicals beat the snot out of you? Get up quit feeling sorry for your self and get into something where you don't have time to think about feeling sorry for yourself. I like gaming becuse you can get alot of friends there and they don't judge you based on your looks. They are nicer and it's fun to game. Try an mmporg. There are two free ones... Maple Story and Runescape. And ask yourself this did I alienate myself from my friends by being harsh...I have to ask this to myself. Sometimes you do things you know you have alienated yourself. Don't sabotage relatinships.

Things are never as bad as they seem. Read some posts in here from people that truly have horrible things happening in their lives. Think about what is good in yours....

Hell, if Global Warming keeps up none of us have to worry about it anymore.....

~~hugs for you~~

Go to your local phone directory and look under human health services for any hotline. There are usually people there to speak to. I suggest that you do it now.
