I am sure he reached the first down anyway, but the refs were against dallas all game long, all penaltys went to Dallas, also when terry glenn fumbled the ball on the one yard line that was an incomplete pass cuz the ball hit the ground!!

No, but he was close. I'm surprised that Parcells didn't request a measurement. I'm also surprised that Madden & Company didn't mention that Romo almost made the first down on the botched hold!

A. No he didnt make the first down. he was short by about a half a yard to a yard.

B. Terry glenn had possession, both feet down, made a move common to the game of football (also, known as a football move). Then the ball was punched out and traveled backward, though since he had possession it wouldnt have matter what direction the football went. Dallas was lucky that it wasnt a touchdown.

No, he did not make the first down. He was at least half a yard short. Also, the Glenn fumble was a fumble because he did have control of the ball before losing it. Therefore, it's a fumble whether it hits the ground or not.

It didn't matter whether or not he reached the down marker after muffing the field goal snap, because Romo FUMBLED THE BALL WHEN HE WAS TACKLED and the Seahawks recovered it.

Open your eyes and see Romo for what he is - someone with poor ball handling skills under pressure, who was put into a situation that he wasn't ready for.

I thought so at first also but after watching the reply the ball was at about the 1 1/2 when his knees hit....no first down.

Romo was a yard shy of the line. If he would have stretched out it is possible that he would have got the 1st down.

Typical fan, cannot watch the game objectively and makes excuses. He did not make the first down and several calls went against the Seahawks as well

It didn't matter since he fumbled the football. If he would've held onto it, we might be talking about a Dallas miracle win.
