I have just downloaded Paint Shop Pro 7, but now all my .gif files are default opening with it HELP?

I don't want them to open with this program, as it takes forever to open and slows my computer down. Before this, they opened with Microsoft Photo Editor, as my jpg and other files still do. But since I downloaded Paint Shop Pro, they are opening with that program. I could go and change EVERY gif file I have to jpg but I really can't see the point. Is there an easier way to do so? Take them off default? Thanks

Thanks for the answers but that only would work for a 100x100 pic, then i'd have to do it again for say a 96x98 pic....

Thanks, do you know how to change it saying Paint Shop Pro Image or is that just stay even when its (NOW WORKING :) opening with Photo Ediotr

Do what the first two people said but hold down SHIFT while right clicking to guarantee "Open with" shows up. =D

So that's:

Shift and Right click

Left click Open With

Choose the program you want to open it with. (Windows picture and fax viewer is the default with Windows XP itself.)

Place a checkmark in "always use this program"

Click OK.

Boom! You're done =D

VERY EASY.
1). RIGHT CLICK ON THE .GIF FILE ICON TO RELEASE A DROPDOWN LIST.
2). FROM THERE, CLICK ON THE 'OPEN WITH' OPTION.
3). FROM THERE CHOOSE THE PROGRAM WITH WHICH YOU WANT TO OPEN THE FILE.
4). JUST PUT A TICK MARK ON THE OPTION "always use the selected program to open this kind of file"

Right click on a .gif, choose open with, and then find the program you want to use, and make sure you check the box "Always use this program to open this type of file".
