They don't seem to care that much either way about Ethiopia interfering with Somalian affairs.

Where are the protests? Why hasn't anyone condemned them?

More importantly... how is it ANY different from the U.S. invading Iraq?

Do you just not care about Africa?

The conservatives haven't exactly been campaigning for aid to that area, either.

... first... any conservative saying "do you just not care about Africa" is hilarious... since they've been totally ignoring Darfur very successfully... sitting by while they make Saddam look like a school girl...

but, on to your question... no... I don't think so...

why?... well first... what's the same between Somalia and Iraq? hardly anything... besides the fact that there are Muslims involved in both instances...

can you please cite where Ethiopia said that Somalia had WMD and that was the reason for the invasion? I would really like to see it, since that's a major part of most people's disagreement with the Iraq war?

the Islamic union is basically a new force... that took over the country from the leaders in 2006... that didn't happen in Iraq...

and Ethiopia was there to help the leaders take their country back...

AND ... of course... the best flaw in your logic is... this would make conservatives racist too... since they haven't said a word about it either...

We're ALL racists. -Because by devoting ourselves to any ONE cause, we're denying all the others. Africa has NO oil; no military strategic value; no easy access to cute adoptable babies; NO highly educated professionals to exploit...- and LOTS of people with problems that we're not interested in. This is not a "Liberal" issue... -It's a people issue, that we're ALL guilty of. So if YOU can do anything about it- GO FOR IT. Because by doing THAT, -you'll truely be making a real difference in the world..

In case you didn't notice, Liberals took control of congress 3 days ago.

The wingnuts have been in charge the last 6 years.

As a progressive populist liberal, I find your question leading and offensive. Lots of liberals find what Ethiopia is doing totally wack, but there's a whole lot of horrible stuff going on in the world, including the occupation and devastation of Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

I also care about Haiti and Guatemala and the CAR and a whole lot of other countries that are being screwed by crazy leaders and the imperialistic corporations and US troops and military contractors that are working with them.

You shouldn't stereotype people you don't know anything about.

Because American soldiers are not getting killed and maimed for no reason in Africa. I love you're attempt at spin.

Interference goes where the money and assets is. And the media only follows where they can make a big splash and money.
