Not necessarily. If your means attain your goals, but the cost is your honor or moral standing, was it a good trade?

no i dont.
only you yourself can justify the means you take. your own moral and ethical beliefs should guide your decision, ... and those will be valid of course only for yourself... there is always the chance that someone else does not agree with you, and all you have to hind behind is your own conscience.
