No telling. Mine came out the morning I went into labor.

Don't let the term "blood-tinged mucus" mislead you, either. Mine was more like "mucus-tinged blood." I was freaking out and looking for help online until I was told that it was perfectly normal for the plug.

The plug won't always have blood, though.

Your " plug " might not fall out until your water breaks. They sometimes fall out early due to you falling , or the baby dropping quickly. I wouldn't expect it any time soon too early for labor. The lungs are in there final development stage at 32 weeks.

I'm sure you'll hate this answer, but: it really depends on the person.

It can fall out a month before-hand or while you're in labor.

You'll know when it falls out. It literally looked like a giant wad of elmer's cement glue. seriously! (Some women have blood twinged mucous.)

Personally, I had my cervix "stripped" on a Monday, my plug fell out on a Tuesday night, I went into labor on a Thursday morning, and had my baby by Thursday night.

Mine fell out at 40 weeks but I never went into labor, I had to be induced a week later. I know a lot of people who never lost their plug until they went into labor.

not untill your cervix begins to soften and open. it can come out weeks before labor actually starts. or right at the begining of labor. my first 2 didnt lose my plug till i was dialated at 5. but im 36 wks pregnant and lost my plug last week but im not in labor or anything but thats normal she will come out when she is ready.

It really depends--it could come out anytime--that doesnt necessarily mean that labor is coming though.
I have a friend who lost hers at 25 weeks & it 'grew' back & she delivered her baby at full term.
& with some people it doesnt come out until you are on the delivery table.

(yes--if the plug comes out too early for whatever reason--it will grow back until delivery)

I read that it falls out within 10 days of labor beginning. I can't tell you from experience though, I was induced.
