We're trying to figure out what sound penguins make, how they communicate. Do they have voices, or do they communicate by making sounds?

Penguins squawk and chirp like other birds, only crazy loud. My wife and I recently got to go into the penguin enclosure at Sea World and couldn't believe the amount of noise they made!

it takes a lot of practice, but your vocal chords can be worked like any muscle. its like making yourself more limber by stretching. start at a lower tone and go a little lower and a little lower untill your pushing yourself, hold your tones longer when it comes more difficult to produce tones. then start over again. do that 10 times or so a few times a day or as much or as often as youd like without true discomfort and you should see a difference. fun fact: a lot of people going through sex changes do similar exercises to change the tones of their voices from masculine to feminine and vice versa.
