To clear or hide the dark circles, use the following tips:

1 Sleep well for minimum of 7 hours each night.

2 Eat healthy food, with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and lean meats. These foods are rich in vitamins and minerals, adding glow to your skin, boosting your energy levels and improve your overall appearance. This good health will reflect in your eyes too.

3 Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. It will retain the elasticity of your skin, thus reducing the dark circles, besides clearing up various skin problems.

4 Keep used black teabags under the eyes. The black tea gives the skin below the eyes a tight appearance and your eyes will have a beautiful glow. Brew a cup of black tea, take out the tea bag, allow it to cool down sufficiently but not completely such that you can easily bear it and place it on the eyes.

5 Using a cheese grater, grate some potato and keep this grated potato below the eyes for around 15 minutes. Then wash off with warm water.

6 Apply a light concealer to hide the dark circles if no other method works. Use a shade that is slightly lighter than your makeup. Put a small quantity on your index finger and dab it below the eyes. Smoothen it out with a sponge. Do not rub it with finger or the concealer stick. This will aggravate the problem.

First thing I would do is make sure your getting enough water at LEAST 8 8oz glasses plus more if you get hot and sweat or are overweight. Then I would consider your diet. Are you eating relatively healthy? Do you take a muti-vitamin? If your doing all of these things go to a dermatologist, they can help figure out what's going on. In the mean time you can use some home remedies to lighten or "de-puff" your eyes. If they are puffy use sliced cucumbers or even just a cool rag will help

Well, why you are trying the excellent tips in the first post, and the circles haven't ncleared yet, use this tip to conceal them:

Put a little dab of red lipstick underneath the eye. Smudge it just a TINY BIT. Then add on a normal concealer or foundation and rub and smear it until it is properly blended. A shade slightly lighter then your skin tone works better, but it doesn't matter much.

If they're genetic, there's no way to get rid of them except for possibly laser therapy to reduce hyperpigmentation. I'd suggest a good concealer with peach undertones to neutralize the blue color. Concealers that are too yellow will generally leave an unflattering grey tinge. Some brands I like for dark circles are Tarte, Bobbi Brown, Hourglass, and Maybelline Superstay.

I've tried the Vitamin E Eye Cream from The Body Shop and have used for years. It seemed to work for me.

Do you take a mult-vitamin?? if not I would take one every day. You might be deficient in some nutrients (Specifically Vitamin K)

Sources of Vitamin K:
Vitamin K is found in leafy green vegetables such as spinach and lettuce; Brassica vegetables such as kale, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts; wheat bran; organ meats; cereals; some fruits; meats; cow milk and other dairy products; eggs; soybeans; and other soy products

You might want to get a blood test for allergies. You might have what are called Allergic Shiners (no bulls**t. They really exist). If so, your doctor can prescribe medication for the allergies.
