What model of computer is this? Is this a type of Dimension? Inspiron? Optiplex? Latitude? What is the number that is with it?

If your computer is older than one from 1998 it possibly may not have USB ports at all.

If your computer is newer, there should be plenty. If it is on a desktop, it should be on the back side of the computer itself. Probably under the power cord ports... if this is a VERY recent desktop, check the ports where the keyboard and mouse plug into. That's the USB.

Oh, also newer desktops also have USB ports on the FRONT also, for easy access. Near a microphone and headphone port =D

If it's a notebook, the USB is typically on the back but there may be some on the sides depending on how recent it is and the model.

Ahh...the case of the missing USB port...
There's one or two usually in the front of PC, but if it's older it's toward the bottom, you have to lift up the panel (gently) and then reach all the way down and find it with a flashllight or by touch. Then line up ipod with it and you're on your way.

There is also 2-4 in the back, look where your printer is plugged in and put it next to that if the cord will reach. Good luck!

Either there are 4 usb ports on the back of the tower somewhere between the internet connection and the moniter connection or on the front in the little oval shaped hole on the bottom

If you have an Emachine it usually has 2 in the front under a little door at the bottom. It also has one in the back. For a Dell it should be right in the front next to the disk tray.

Dell should have two on the front and 4 on the back.
