You're only 13. Plenty of girls still play with their AG dolls at that age. Besides that, plenty of people way above that age group enjoy them and collect them. I'm 17 and have three of them. I still take pictures, sew for them, etc. Sure I have less time to do it but I do. AG's target range is 8-12. This is only an average. There are plenty of girls younger and older than this range that enjoy the dolls. To be honest, it's kind of nice to return to simpler times and fun, if you know what I mean. I was a tomboy (and still sort of am) as a young child. I didn't really want dolls until third grade. By that point, a lot of the 'popular' kids at school already had AG dolls. I don't really know why I am rambling on but I agree with you about kids growing up too fast. I started dealing with the teen stuff (make-up, boys, etc) in 5th grade. To be honest, I still don't usually wear makeup. I have guy friends but no serious or even semi-serious romantic relationships. And it's cool. Plenty of my friends and such are similar. There's not a huge rush.

No you should be able to play with dolls as much as you want!Sometimes you need to take care of your american girl dolls hair and stuff. I was reading about these 18 year old girls and they had a lot of american girl dolls and magazines so it's not like you should start not liking dolls after a age but sometimes you just don't want to play with them anymore. Just make sure your ag dolls are kept in good shape so when you dont like dolls anymore just brush the ag dolls hair once in a while.

I think that is the age which a girl should start wanting to do other things, This is about the age that a girl starts middle school or high school, and she should find other things more interesting. As a teacher, I know some girls play with dolls until the middle/end of 7th grade, and then it seems to stop (most girls have stopped before starting the 7th grade).

No, I'm 12 in a half and I'm buying Niki the girl of the year, today! So you know my opinion. You're not to old for them. You can still play with dolls and like older things. It's perfectly fine! And just because I'm 12 and 5'5" doesn't mean I should stop playing with them just because I look older. So go for it!

If thats what you (or someone you know) like doing then thats fine. I look at it like this at least your not out having sex or doing drugs. I am 23 and still have stuffed animals (I don't play with them though) I watch cartoons and the "Saddle Club" no one ever really grows up. You can think about boys and cars and stuff like that when you get about 16 thats a good age to give up the dolls! I got a "Furby" when they first came out and I was a Freshman in highschool and like to have freaked out when I got it cause I was so excited! LOL

No. Go for it. You'll never be thirteen again, you'll be an adult, and it SERIOUSLY won't be right for you to play with American Girl dolls. So take your last years of childhood at an advantage.

I used to play with dolls at that age. I didn't let my friends know. My sister teased me but not too much.
