How do I fix my Inspiron 6000 monitor?

No backlight on the monitor, it's really, really dark but you just barely make out what's there.

Call Dell, even if it's not under the warranty anymore. They'll tell you exactly what to do to get it fixed.

Don't try to fix it, get a new one. No backlight usually mean the monitor has gone bad.

Have you looked at the brightness settings on the monitor?
