If the meals were for other people who gave you money, like coworkers who wouldn't have anything else to eat, I'd drive back, ifyou just ordered in for you family at home I'm take at least a refund on the items not given to you and whip something up at home, If they were at all rude about it I'd demand a manager and a full refund.

We get carryout every day at work and this happens to us all the time, unfortunately. Depending on what they forgot, we've done all of the above..... gone back, taken a refund on the forgotten items, gotten a full refund, and gone without the food. As I said, it all depends. If the forgotten item is something small, we usually forget it. If it is a person's full meal and they have nothing else, we go back. If's a partial and the person has something else, we get a refund for the forgotten item. A few isolated times, we've called to complain, gone back for the food AND gotten a full refund.
I've taken to checking the back before I leave.... it saves a lot of grief and I quit caring if they're offended or not.

First of all ALWAYS CHECK your food order before driving away or leaving the restaurant. People make mistakes especially if it is a busy time of the night .
If I discovered 2 meals were missing I would immediatly call the restaurant and speak with the manager about the missing food items then I would drive back and get the meals. Many times a restuarant will also give you freebies and an apology. Customer satisfaction is what it's all about!

I always check the bags before driving off. No one wants to get home with missing food, especially if the person expecting the meal is temperamental. And no one wants to drive back to the restaurant and get the missing meals, that would mean the other meals are getting cold.
If I was to drive off without checking, and then had to go back, I would expect them to redo everything in the order so that all of the food was fresh.

Drive back.... if the distance is not much and put a complain. Take refund of all items and compensation and then get the items from some where else.

Depends who the meals were for. Do you have the receipt. If you can go somewhere else easily just do that when when you get home call and speak to the manager. They will esure you are credited for the items and will most likely give you free food too. If he doesn't tell him you think he should for your inconveience. he will.
If you have no receipt go straight back and get the meals, complain to the manager, and get a credit. Also have them replace the cold food you did recieve.
heh I love free stuff

Talk to the manager, they will more then willing compensate for the mistake. Do what you feel is right. If you are still hungry, get the meals. If you don't feel like driving back, have them credit your next meal.
I won't listen to anyone that posted above (about yelling). Don't yell at them, they will be less willing to work with you. It's true the nicer you are, the more the manager will do for you so that you come back again.
