Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest hands down! I think that it stepped up the game for movies who do sequels. I liked it exponentially better than the first and I did enjoy the first one. It is a film to own as well, because the DVD extras are neat to see (also if you managed to get the Best Buy bonus disk as well). Good film. Great action. Good plot. Fabulous characters and effects. (Did you know they actually broke the boat in half?!?! That is pretty neat to see.

Definitely "The Illusionist" starring Edward Norton, Jessica Biel, and Paul Giamatti. I believe it just was released on DVD so run, don't walk, to your nearest video store! On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a 20!

A close second, by the way, was "Akeelah and the Bee" -- along the lines of a Hallmark or Disney movie.
