Why does a 12 year old need a belly button ring?! You need to spend a few years growing up! I don't believe your piercing is real, anyway, since you claim it did not hurt. I bet you have a fake belly button ring and just tell everyone it is real. 12-year-olds will believe anything...

Pain varies by person. I don't blaim her for not believing you because something that doesn't hurt at all of one person can be the worst pain in the world to another. I have a high pain tolerance so I can't really console people that flinch easily about whether something is going to hurt.

I got mine done at 16 (8 years ago) and it didn't hurt then - but I did get an infection about three months later! make sure to keep it clean! And get it done at a reputable CLEAN place!

i haven't had it done but i was told it kinda hurts. also it is one of the worst places for infections so if she does get it done make sure she cleans it a lot.....i have my tongue pierced and that didn't hurt so the belly shouldn't hurt too much

No it didnt hurt me but at 12 why would you want to be drawing attention to that area of your body? You shouldn't be getting piercings, you should be planning your future, your career, your passions...worry about that stuff when you are older.

of course it hurts. anytime you put a needle through a chunk of skin it hurts. It just depends on how bad she wants it. Frankly, you are both too young for body peircings and the messages the send.

I got mine done two years ago and, no, it does not hurt at all. Do it! All my friends tell me mine looks pretty cute. See for yourself!

mine didn't hurt at all. it was over faster than i expected. mine did get infected a few times but if she will take care of it she shouldn't have any problems. no pain no gain.

Don't worry about piercings at your age. Go back to school and learn proper grammar and spelling. I promise that you will thank yourself later in life.
