Well, if you have never seen clots like this in your cycle before, I would see your doctor just to be certain as to what it might be and what may be causing this difference. However, sometimes clots are common in one's cycle, and nothing to be alarmed about. I would just emphasize though that if it is not something that you have seen in your personal cycle before, to contact your doctor sooner rather than later to find out. Good luck and I hope everything ends up fine.

well if you were pregnant then you probably miscarried the baby but unless you save the clots to be tested by a pathologist it would be a guess on the doctors point unless they do a blood draw and see if the hcg level is slightly elevated. either way you need to go to the doctor because if it was a miscarriage then you need to be cleaned out to make sure there are no products of conception left inside you, because this can lead to infection or even scaring. I wish you the best.

Take a pregnancy test and if it shows you are pregnant then go to the hospital right away as you are probably miscarrying. If the pregnancy test is negative then just monitor things as the clots may be due to no period for 2 months.

When I was younger I would sometimes skip periods. I specifically remember this happening to me when I was 13. I had skipped 3 months and when I got my period there was a bit of clotting. My gyno told me that this was normal and because I had skipped my period. If you are really worried, it doesn't hurt to ask your gyno! They get questions like this all of the time.

Have u been having sex? was it protected sex? it could have been a miscarriage or it could be that you are very irregular (period), my friend is irregular, I would suggest that you get on birthcontrol, it will even your periods out and you wouldnt have to worry about getting pregnant. sometimes large blood clots are normal, it's the lining of your uterus. you can type it in on the search engine and it will take you to a site that tells you all about it. hope i helped, Alicia

don't worry, that happened to me too. i didnt have my period for sooo long n i thought something was wrong with me (not pregnant because i never had sex). your body doesnt always produce enough eggs to let you have a period per month. if one month its not enough eggs, it will carry on to the next until it has enough, then it comes out as a lot of eggs and blood in a clot. so dont worry, you're fine =]

Did you take a HPT to confirm that you were/are pregnant? It could be the beginning of a miscarriage. If I were you, I'd go to the doctor as soon as possible to make sure everything is OK.

I hope everything works out for you.

It sounds like your periods are irregular. Just ask your doctor to get your blood and urine analysed for hormone levels. If you have a hormonal imbalance, you'll probably be given a course of hormones to correct it.
