**EDIT** would a seven year old say this? "Tell your girlfriend to use spermicide. That should reduce the risks, and yes it is Always possible to get prego with or without the use of a condom."

This cannot possibly be a 7 year old, but what the hey..

When I first got my period (at age 11).. there were no signs, it just came. It wasn't until later that I got cramping, etc. I began to develop very early, but the period did not come right away. Don't worry about it.. you are probably not due for it yet (although it can happen), but even so.. the first time there will probably not be very much blood and you will probably not bleed for a long time. It will take a while before you get it the same time every month (if ever). If you are lucky it won't last a week. Thankfully, mine is here and gone in three days!

P.S. For all of those who think you have to be older to get your period.. it just isn't so. My mother was 9 when she got her's. I also knew a little girl who was 5 with the ovaries of a 16 year old. For some reason her female organs developed early. That was a very difficult thing for her mother to have to explain to her I am sure. Children are not as naive as you think and they can't be. Girls are developing a lot faster now...

Ok I am so disappointed that people are responding like this, NO MATTER what your age is! Lets be a bit nicer to this person!Girls get their period at different ages, 7 years old huh? Well don't be hoping for your period it's a real pain especially while you are in school. There was a girl I went to school with that started hers when we were in the 4th grade so she would have been .... 9 years old, thats the youngest I know of... I didn't know when I was about to start mine, You probably aren't at least for a couple of years. Obviously you have talked to a older person to know about "periods" thats the best thing ... talk to your mom, sister, aunt, granny, cousin anyone of the older female gender can give good answers

7year olds don't enerally know what a period is. It is very rare for a 7 year old to even get a period. My sister's niece got hers when she was 8 but that was because she had other problems, she was born prematurely. Maybe you ought to think about asking a real question instead of playing around. Seriously...

I am very sorry for all of the rude people on board that are giving you such a bad time. Your question is important to you, I don't know why they can't see that. Well Sweetie, my Daughter was 9 years old when she had her first period. I hear that girls are starting at a much younger age these days. You take care Sweet Little Darling - Voodoo

What makes you feel that you will have your period soon? Girls usually get their period from the ages of 11 - 16; you've still got a bit of time! If you have any more questions, it would be best that you talked to your mom about it.

There is no way you are getting your period at 7 years old i am 11 and i still havent gotten mine you dont need to worry about it and when you are in my grade thenyou will learn about growing and changing so you will learn all about it and if you start it before then then you can always talk to your mom about it no matter how hard and embarassing it may be.

7? lol arent you to young to be playing on the net and 7 yr olds dont know what a period is. hope no one is stupid enough to think your really 7. and 7 youd be in first grade.
The requirements for children leaving kindergarten have changed dramatically in the last few years. When I taught, we expected our students to leave kindergarten knowing the alphabet and having developed the social skills necessary for first grade. Now, children are expected to leave kindergarten knowing the alphabet, recognizing 5-10 sight words (such as the, is, my, like, and see) and knowing how to read some 3-letter, short vowel words such as cat, run, and hop.
However, the reality is that some children enter first grade not reading at all. As long as your child knows the letters of the alphabet, can identify them with relative speed in and out of order, and can say the most common sound associated with each letter (or most of the letters), he should be fine. If not, work with him over the summer on these basic skills to get him ready for first grade and continue to work with him throughout the year. Scholastic publishes a book called 100 Words Kids Need to Read by 1st Grade which you might find helpful — it contains lots of fun, colorful activities for practice with sight words.

I just looked at this person's profile.

"She" has a habit of pretending she's a little girl getting her period (i.e. "how do you use tampons" etc.). In another question "she" told answerers that "she" was eight.

Dude, you are a sick, sick, sick pedophile pervert. Get a life you whacko!

People---use your brains. Obviously this person is not a seven year old getting her period. You need to be able to spot this stuff because these pedophiles are trolling for your own kids.

Well, i dont think you will be getting ur periods... before you get ur periods.. u just feel like ur underwear is kinda wet n you feel like you have ur periods.. well dont worry about it, it's something natural n if your getting it a bit early, that's perfectly fine. No need to freak out about it.... Just if you do get ur periods, go to the doctor... but im really sure it's just.. the wet undi part.
