Does anyone know what site I can go on that gives information on the composer William Byrd and his impact on queen Elizabeth. All I can find is his biography.

I found several possible references on Yahoo Search by typing in < William Byrd +Queen +Elizabeth > There were several that looked good. Since you know exactly what you want to know, it might be easier to try the above search technique than read a lot of extraneous stuff from someone like myself.

It's possible that he didn't have much impact on her. He was the court composer, along with Tallis, and composed works in her honour and for the Chapel Royal. In the Chapel Royal he shared with Tallis the honorary post of organist, and on the 22nd of January 1575 the two composers obtained a license for twenty-one years from Queen Elizabeth I to print music and music-paper, a monopoly which does not seem to have been at all remunerative. But all this you presumably know already. You might do better chasing up this link http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:wwPR8T5Y9L0J:www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp%3Fpid%3D6741184+william+byrd+elizabeth+I&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=7
