The old fords (pre 96?) were sae threads and standard spacing . Sometime in the mid 90's ford went to metric . The newer metric rims WILL NOT fit the older trucks. Gm probably went to metric also. The spacing is real close , so you probably cant look and tell the difference with out a tape measure.
It looks like gm did not go to metric , I am not sure though
I did some research:
The 2002 fords are 170mm or about 6 - 11/16"
the 1998 chevy are 6 - 1/2 "
.

I agree with the second answer. Ford 8-lug will Fit Chevy 8-lug. But Chevy won't fit ford because the chevy wheel has too small of a center hole.
A bit of trivia for you... A Lincoln 15" rim will fit a half ton Chevy pickup.

The ford rims should not fit on the chevy, becase of the hole spacing for the studs. they are different spacing.

I don't think so, you need to measure the bolt pattern from center to center of the hole, also make sure the car rest on the wheel and not the stud.
