no we didnt.

well... in a sense we did.

we developed from a lifeform that had more in common with a modern day chimpanzee than with a human being. but it was neither a human nor an ape. and certainly not a monkey. if you dont know the differences, look them up at wikipedia.

but to answer the question you really mean to ask... yes, evolution did happen, and it happens still. and if you look in the right places, you can actually watch it happen.
as far as the scientific method is concerned, the existing proof is conclusive and indeniable, and any attempt to disprove it has failed.
that is why evolution has been accepted as theory, which is as close to actual truth as science dares to claim, right along with gravity, physical dynamics and the fact that fire is hot.

Listen to one of the answers 'NO I DON'T AND WONT BELIEVE IT'.

Its a weakness of the theological mind that they can't distinguish between whats true and what they merely want to be true. Maybe that really dont understand the difference. We didn't come from monkeys though - thats how a creationist would describe evolution - we have a common ancestor with monkeys - and more recently, a common ancestor with apes. You share more than 98% of your DNA with chimpanzees.

This is not a dehumanising view. Your family tree grows to include every monkey, every bird, every fish, every tree. If you really want to know evolution go to the source, read Darwin. If you're religious, be aware that many Christians accept the facts of evolution and work it in to their views of God.

Not actually. We are more close to apes than monkey. Our closest descendant is Chimpanzee, then Gorilla , then Oranguttan & then Gibbon.
Moreover Old world monkeys(Rhesus or Macaca, Baboon) are more closest to human than New world monkeys (spider monkey, marmosets).
Human have evolved through series of Evolution and Cromagnon man are regarded as direct ancestor of modern man.

Most of us evolved millions of years ago from a primitive ancestor and now come from a male and female human (Homo sapiens). You come from a fertilized egg that develops in the uterus of a woman.
To "come from a monkey" you would need to be cloned from some undifferentiated cell in that monkey. I do not believe that at this point that has been successful.

All the biology classes that I have taken, say WE DO NOT EVOLVE FROM MONKEYS. The evolution theory states that we are very closely related and share a common ancestor. Just because we share an ancestor does not mean we "came from them" That is one huge common misconception of evolution.

..no!!!! in my opinion. but everyone has their own beliefs. search your soul and ask you high power for the question you are asking. people argue w/ religion ,race, politics so it's never one answer, everyone has their freewill to believe or not.you can research Darwin vs god... best of luck..Ree
