GUESSING AND WILL SAY OFF THE BAT: this person was probably entering into the relationship the both of you share now, shortly after a relationship had been ended, one that meant alot to him. (if not with you then once before) usually when entering a relationship that fast after leaving a hard emotional situation, is usually being entered in too fast / and referred to as a rebound. So he has these already mixed, confused emotions, and saw you slowly forgetting about all of the past. When realizing he is starting to have feelings for you and they get deeper. He get's scared because he is feeling love and he's remembering the past and he doesn't wanna get hurt. He says he loves you, and if this is the case give him the space he needs to realize he loves you and he will have to take that chance to puresue anything further with you. The best thing that you can do is to let him have the space and keep him knowing you love him, and that you will stick by him until his head is clear. GOOD LUCK

GET OUT OF HIS LIFE, for (2) reasons.
#1. he may genuinely be afraid of love (commitment actually).
#2. He's really 'NOT' in love with you!
It's one of the two i assure you.
Guys like this are ssoooo unreliable, kinda 'wishy washy' and don't even know what they really want.
You'll always play a 'roller coaster' game with him..
Up, down, Up, down. Oh what misery!!!

Sounds like he's making excuses for not wanting to commit. Fearing love? Wha..?? Find someone deserving of your love!! Good luck!

He is showing signs of not being emotionally ready. Guys mature slowly, so forgive his slow hormones! Be friends for a while and after a year, give romance a try. Hopefully he'll have matured by then.

Tell him you are not going to play games with him. Tell him to be honest and tell you what's going on or you will be history. If he isn't honest with you and doesn't fess up, dump him. There are lots of other guys out there and it's better to have someone in your life that doesn't play around with your feelings. It's disrespectful and cruel.

Tell him how you feel then walk away. Now you're looking at two scenarios. 1) You don't have to put up with that emotional baggage. 2) He will see how you care for him and bring him out of his self erected shell.
Good luck.

Maybe he's been through tough relationships before. He might actually love you, but not want to further your relationship because he is afraid of being heart broken again. Try to talk to him about it, and see whats wrong.

Believe Me it is very possible for him to not want you & love you @ the same time so he says...Due to him not wanting anyone else to have you... Thats why he keeps you hanging on by saying I Love You...

If he wants you out of his life, I wouldn't go for him especially if you only knew him for five months. You might just annoy him, and if you leave him alone long enough he might decide he wants you back.
