I know that my sister wears it almost everyday. She uses black liner on her top and bottom lids, puts on a colored eyeshadow to just above the crease. Then she uses black very lightly and with her finger and sweeps it from the middle of the eyeshadow and fades it out to the end. She blends it in a little, but makes sure you can see it most just above the end of her eye. She gets a lot of compliments on that. Also, you could do a smokey eye and use black liner on the top and bottom lids and on the inside of the bottom lid as well. Then you use the black shadow and sweep it up to just before your crease and blend at the crease with a gray shadow. Then add black mascara. it looks good.

How To Apply Black Eyeshadow

i assume your eyeshdow is the powdery one, right? Ok, so for a casual look apply LIGHTLY your entire eye socket with the black eyeshadow. Darken the area at the bottom of your lids and blend in the color with the upper part of the eye socket. This works cos its the way i always apply my black eyeshadow. Happy applying!

try using it with a grey shade to do the smokey eye thing. really easy.

step 1. find the crease in your eyelid(try closing your eye and feeling the upper edge of your eyeball. this is the crease.

spread grey shadow over the lid and almost to the brow blending the edges. use the black to go into the crease over the grey. now color in the outside half of the lid from crease to lash with the black. (you should see a little grey on the inside half [closest to your nose] of your lid. then use the black as a liner using a slant brush against the lash.

p.s. use a good brush and not the little spongy thing. you can find brushes at bodyshop.com or chanel.com or maccosmetics.com

Use it for eyeliner. Get the shadow on the tip of the applicator, and gently apply it along the top of the lashes, right on the edge of the eyelid. Then, take a Q tip, or a clean applicator, and smudge it. Don't do too much on the bottom because you'll look like you slept in your make up and woke up with it smeared. Just a littlle on the bottom, and slightly heavier on the top.

try getting a medium sized eyeshadow brush. get a small amount of product on the brush and begin at lasjline, working your way up to the natural crease in your eye. The key to getting darker shades to look right is blending(try a circular motion). This way it is applied evenly and isnt 'patchy' looking.

Start from your top eyelash line, and brush up, gradually getting lighter as you go. So the lower part is dark and add a little to your outer corners. I suggest Hard Candy Eye Candy in Black. It works the best of any and is sparkly and the best black. Use a thin brush, or I always use my fingers, then a brush. Good luck!

actual! i can't stay without my Mary Kay Coal eyeshadow! you may create diverse diverse looks with it.for sure this is going to practice our epidermis... have self assurance me this look will practice on our epidermis... even the darkest human beings isnt easily black, we r merely diverse hues of brown! For a actual moody look, u can merely artwork the the black by itself by employing it on the eyelid, merely as a lot because the crease and then end off the look with a black liquid liner and lashes of mascara. Or for an afternoon look, you should use it to create a smoky result. this time use any shade u like as your accent shade (inspite of u contained in the mood for or a shade that matches your suitable) and be conscious that on your eyelid. then get your black and dab on the outer nook of your eye and then mix inwards (in the route of the centre of your eye). i wish that helped and made experience!!!

I LOVE black shadow. I use an applicator brush that's kind of like a q-tip. I like to apply it in thin strips to the top and bottom so that it looks like eyeliner, not like shadow.
I think my favorite is oil slick by urban decay.
