George Lucas has said that he will probably never make another Star Wars movie. But do you think he might onde day change his mind? Would you like to see Lucas, or someone else, make more Star Wars movies?

I don't know if he will; if he decides that he won't make them himself, I hope that he will find a worthy directorial successor to make them, and tell us the rest of his saga. I understand he has had all nine potential story lines in mind since before he made the original movie back in the 70s.

I never knew he'd say something like that.
Now, do I think that's possible? I'd say no. Everything has already been said and done: the trilogy and prequels add up and now, we have a strong fan base of nerds. I don't think we need any mroe of that.
Now, if he did change his mind, it'd probably be based on the books that just own his name and the LucasArts franchise. Unless he starts getting desperate and making movies on the animated mini-series of "Clone Wars" and that other one (both animated by Gendy Tarakovsky, animator and possibly the creator of Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls).
Would someone else make them: possible, but if it's not Lucas, it's not Star Wars.

dont quote me on this but i heard something a while back.

there was a guy i heard of that ran into Lucas on a beach. They got into a conversation and he asked George about the future of SW.

He asked (this was right after Ep 3 came out) if he would ever do another movie other then the tv show. Lucas said he wasnt totaly sure.

He asked if it would be a prequel or a sequel if he did.

Lucas supposedly said that the one idea he'd like to do (someday) is 800 years before Ep 4, during the Sith Wars where Yoda helps win.

I think that if someone other than George Lucas starts make the "Star Wars" series, it will cease being the "Star Wars" series. It will be like when an author becomes so popular, s/he begins employing ghost writers to write for him or her. It is never as good as the original.

George Lucas is such a creative machine that I don't believe that he will be able to let things be as they are.

I hope to see many more Star Wars movies...more Like "Revenge of The Sith," and "Empire STrikes Back." Definitely not like "The Phantom Menace."

accually if you are really interested there is a site called "supershadow" that states that there will be three more movies that will be made by Lucas. He says that he will start production in 10 more years. they even have the plotscripts there and u can also ask him something about star wars. All u have to do is go to "supershadow"

I heard George needed ten years off from Star Wars and would consider making some more. He will be 70 at that point, so his health is the big factor in the possibility.

you would want to be part of a disaster???!!! and no, they will not come out with another one Star Wars I (1999) Star Wars II (2003) Star Wars III (2005) Star Wars IV (1977) Star Wars V (1980) Stars Wars VI (1983) Stars War VII (2009) that would be a weird order of effects, and timelines...

I believe he said that once he's "gone" that someone else would probably take the reins and potentially do more movies.

Shame that he didn't try and follow up with some of the expanded universe stories instead of the prequels.

I wouldn't, no. I think that the three newest Star Wars weren't nearly as good as th origional three.

I don't know if it will have a strong story as Darth Vader is dead and has returned to the light side and balance is restored to the force.
