I get teary when I'm moved - whether I am happy or sad. I don't mean I shed buckets, but sometimes tears come into my eyes when I listen to beautiful music etc. My bridal shower was today and I felt teary a few times today because of how sweet my friends were.

Like you, I don't actually cry, but I do get a little misty-eyed when I'm happy. I save the shedding buckets for when I'm really angry or sad.

I am the same way. I f I see a movie with a heart tugging moment, I cry or get real into it to where I relate to the movie. It's the same with music.

the medical reason is because those emotions are so important that when they happen a lot, suddenly, or all at once (i.e. funeral or wedding) that your tear gland literally shakes! tears are what happens when your tear gland moves too much are you over blink or under blink!

i cry alot when im sad or something sad happens to other people/animals I rarely cry when im happy but i did once when i had this dream i was going to heaven with my mom and sister :'-)
