Buckner's miss will go down in history as one of the biggest sports gaffes of all time (even though the team made several prior mistakes without which Buckner's miss would not have been that important).

Romo's performance tonight - while poor. Will not go down into history as such, and is pretty much what we should have expected from a new QB in his first play-off game against last year's NFC Champs.

I would have to say Romo. Even though Buckner had more at stake, the ball wasn't intentionally hit to him. He didn't ask for it. It's the way the play worked out.

Romo knew the ball was coming. It's was his to lose. And he did!

I do have to agree with dslant6, Romo almost ran for the first down, I was suprised they didn't mention it, but he actually lost about 1/2 a yard, so maybe it wasn't a big enough factor.

And the QB holds the ball because if you want to run a fake, you want your decision maker to have the ball. You don't want a hot shot WR trying to make something happen! :)

You cant compare a Divisional Playoff game to a WS game, Buckner's is worst because alot of people think he cost the Red Sox a WS title, i dont, but people do... Romo cost them a chance to play another game that they probably would have lost if it was against the Saints, and even the Bears.... buckner was WAY worse.

What i dont get is you cant say ball was lsick, because he caught the ball clean.. and bobbled it spotting it... i have never seen that before, ive seen guys whiffing on the catch, but never botching the spot.

Buckner choked worse. Romo tried to recover his mistake

Buckner, easily. There was much more at stake in the World Series than there is in a wild-card NFL game. Had this happened in, say, the Super Bowl, it would be close.

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. Their offense didnt score 1 TD and looked below average at best against the Jets. The "almighty" Patriots didnt get anything going and just got flat out beat and outplayed by a better Jets team. Romo just played terrible in the game against the Giants. Without those interceptions they likely wouldve won by at least 10. It's the 1st time hes looked terrible in a big game

Bill Buckner because it was a bigger game - The World Series!!!
This was just a playoff game - bad play but not really a choke, just a 'bad break'.............
