It doesn't sound like he will. There are several writers who get votes that have made their votes public, and i have yet to see one guy say they were gonna vote for him. I think it will take some time for the "roid" guys to get in, things need to die down, and he need to see where they land in the numbers book after more years have gone by. If something comes along to clear him, he'll get in right away, but I doubt that'll happen. Otherwise, after people die, they are often forgivin?

I think there's too much controversy surrounding him at least at the moment. I have read a few articles written by sports reporters (the guys who vote in the players) and they all said that there is no way they will vote for him, and if Palmeiro was eligible this year, they wouldn't vote for him either.
Personally, I don't think he deserves to enter the Hall of Fame. There are players in the MLB who can hit home runs (Ryan Howard, for example), and are not questioned about steroids. There's way too much controversy around McGuire and Bonds, and even if it is ever proved that neither of them used steroids (which I don't think will happen), I still don't know if they will be indicted. Sports reporters generally seem to have their heads on straight, and vote in players for not only statistics, but personalities and their qualities as a person as well.

enable's see. a million. Did Mark McGwire use steroids with Jose Canseco in Oakland? specific! If not why has McGwire not sued Canseco for defamation of character? i might if somebody lied approximately me to that degree. 2. In1998 and ninety 9 did McGwire use androstendione? specific. Androstendione is a banned substance in all different substantial activities such because of the fact the Olympics. It became not a banned substance in baseball throughout 1998 and 1999. Mark and extra than a number of alternative different gamers took good thing about this loop hollow baseball provided for them and took androstendione. as quickly as baseball found out androstendione became banned in another interest simply by that is effect, MLB banned it besides. Too little, too overdue, Mark has the record now. Mark is in charge as sin on the two counts. He shot up with Canseco and he juiced up in 1998 and 1999 to get the record. Sorry Cardinal followers. No guy that does this to usa's interest merits to be interior the hall of recognition.

A pole taken by ESPN among many sports writers who are eligible to vote shows that McGuire will not get in this year nor any time in the near future. They also asked those same writers who said no to McGuire about Sosa, and Bonds if they were on the ballot this year and they got negative votes also, the questions were based specifically on this issue.

So sorry but McGwire will not be entering the Hall of Fame at any point in this life time. He and Pete Rose have both become poster children for what not to do to get in the Hall.

Absolutely not. Mark Mcguire has embarrarased MLB and Bud Selig. He obviously cheated during his career with his using of steroids and refused to speak in front of the Supreme Court when asked about it. MLB will want to continue to pound down upon steroids users and there is no possible way he will get in, along with any other found out steroid users.

He will not get in this year but at some point, the baseball writers are going to realize that they can not separate who did steroids and who did not. It is completely assenine to think that this person provided so much to the game but yet will not get in the hall of fame.
If he cheated, he was never caught...

The Hall of Fame is a sacred shrine to all of the truly baseball greats. Let's keep it that way. For ourselves and the generations to come.

No. Tony Gwinn and Cal Ripken, Jr. will though.
On a recent ESPN poll, Mac only got about 25% votes. I doubt he'll ever get in what with the steroid issue. He is not well loved any longer.
