I know Braille menus are available inside. If they're available drive thru they'd obviously be for passengers, not drivers.
Ditto for picture menus. If you've ever seen a register at McDonald's you'd know that there are pictures on the keys for the cashiers, many of whom barely speak English and are functionally illiterate in two languages (their own as well as English.)
As for the person who said it was stupid to have handicapped parking outside of a roller skating rink, it's not and I park there all the time. The children I am taking skating are not handicapped, but my other son who comes along is. This would also apply to parents with disabilities who have limited mobility themselves, but very active children.
If you don't live with a disability or know someone who does, then please don't try to second-guess in what situations certain accommodations would make sense.

Because passengers in the car coming through the drive-through may be blind and in need of a menu.

It says something on the menu about "picture menu upon request." I am hoping that is for the passenger.

Believe it or not every fast food place has a timer on there window so they put the menus there before the order.

Because someone who can see and read made them.
It is hard to visualize convenience for the blind or
illiterate when you do not have those disabilites.
Unfortunately, these signs will not help those who need it.
And that is so sad.
