Call City Hall in your community and speak to the operator. Find out what department handles Food Safety claims in your area. For some communities this may be the Health Department or Food Safety Inspector's Office. You must report the conditions right away and provide all pertinent details of your experience. Some departments will take the information over the phone, others will want it in writing. Either way, ask for a follow up to your claim. Some counties are so inundated and short-staffed that inspectors only come around once every year or more. They rely on the public to do their part and report unsafe or unsanitary conditions. When you are speaking with them, ask if the establishement has had prior complaints and ask if the County has a rating system to help identify potential risks at other establishments in the future.

first, I would'nt think twice about entering a restaurant that is unsanitary. Ring the Dept. of Health, and let them deal with the matter......giving all the particulars..eg. where it is. street name, restaurant name, etc
