if there was ONE "best" watercolor paint brand... then... there would only be ONE brand of water color paints available...

Many professional artists would consider Winsor Newton, Holbein and Schmincke the finest watercolors - premium pigments that are very consistent and reliable. There are many other paints that are very good and many artists do tend to find their own preferences.
