I know of people into a kind of vampire scene - there was a vampire bar believe it or not in my city a while ago. Now, these people weren't your Dracula supernatural type vampires, but I guess people who like the idea of being vampires exist.

Vampire bats (as well as other vampiric insects) exist.
Emotional teenagers going through a goth phase who think they're vampires even though they've never tasted blood exist.
Nosferatu and other such vampires of legend either don't exist, or they do such a good job of hiding that it doesn't even matter.

There's a bunch of misguided iron-deficient people running around, dressed in black with white make-up, cutting each other up and sucking the wounds thinking they're vampires, but no there are no real vampires.

Metaphorical vampires (people with dependency issues), yes. They're everywhere. They'll drain you emotionally and leave you when you're dry if you don't have the sense to leave yourself.

I believe that they used to, but died out.

Bram Stoker's "Dracula" is in fact based on real events, newspaperclippings, diaries, and recorded conversations.
