i think that in the history of medicine a doctor or two has fallen in love with a patient who then becomes a former patient. yes
more often though a doctor or anyone in the sort of job that involves seeing people naked and having to do some exam or procedure does not see the person as a sexual person . odd sounding but that is how it goes. the notion that the person of the opposite sex is sexual departs and the job thinking kicks in.
its far more likely that a doctor would become attracted to say the woman when she is waiting in to be seen with all of her clothes on or after when she is leaving . this is however not a common thing. a male doctor often will have a female staff person in the room when he is working on a female patient. this is really not for the doctors needs but she is there most often just so that a woman will be relaxed and so that he has a female witness to his actions in the room. sad thing that the doctors have been put in such a position that they must employ a female just to witness him not do something but such is life.

Very unethical. I believe there can be repercussions if the affair is found out, but you'd have to check on that. Could be damaging to the physician's career.

If one wants to carry on with their Dr, seek another Dr then start the affair.

Sure they do. But I think they're more professional and have more to lose when they get involved with their patients. So they probably try to ignore those feelings or not take any actions on it.

Sometimes

You might know about it if your doctor prefers you to see another doctor of the same speciality because it would be inappropriate for him/her to continue to be your doctor.
