big thing now is llamas for their hair...big profit and they don't need a lot of land to roam and eat pretty much what a horse would eat...friendly animals and they get along with other farm animals...if you are talking about a small house and no land -minks are still valuable -I hear the fur coat industry is making a comeback!

Birds. A lot of pet shops will buy young birds from you like finches and parakeets. If you start with the cheap birds, you can work your way up to more expensive ones eventually. I'm not sure you'll ever get rich doing it, but there you go.

possums are very cheap...they eat garbage...you can sell their fur which shockingly people male wool out of...
