Some people here call it Autumn. Here's f.ag's and f.aggot's are gays...and you guys call cigarettes that which I think is hilarious! You guys also call diapers "nappys". And you say "mate". Plus we took the u's out of words like color and favorite.

Well you misunderstand the meaning. We in America call fall Autumn also.
We use both terms to call the season after summer. The hot days are falling into winter and we call this time Fall or Autumn.

The main reason we use the trm fall i sbecause all of the leaves in most parts of the country began to change color first and thna fall from the trees.

I think the U.S. calls it fall because the leaves fall from the trees. I don't know what autumn means though.

Some parts of the US calls it autumn and some parts call it fall. Just like some people say "soda" and others say "pop". I know that rugby is the same as football but football is the same as soccer. Or eraser = rubber, but rubber = condom in the US.

people in the states call it either autumn or fall. im sure its that way in your country as well.
some different words with same meanings:
bathroom versus restroom, toilet.
elevator versus lift
bus versus cherriot??

I believe we call it Fall because of the falling leaves. I don't know where you're from, so I can't compare any other words for you...
