One of my friend is going to buy a Dell laptop, she trusts me a lot for getting a better deal, so I reccmanded this deal to her:

Dell Inspiron 1501
AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology MK-36
Windows XP Media Center Edtion
Windows Bista Capable (premiun ready)
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 Memery
80GB hard drive
CD burner/DVD combo drive
ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 256 Hypermemory
Dell 1390 Interal Wireless (802.11)
3-in-1 media card reader

It's $599. What do you think? I think it's a good deal for a basic laptop. Just want to hear some opinoins from you guys,' cause my friend really trusts me a lot, I don't want her to be disappointed!

Thank you so much and have a nice weekend!

That sounds pretty good. The only thing with Dell is just make sure you pay off the balance ASAP. Don't make the minimum payments! Otherwise, with all the extra charges and interest added in, the laptop will end up costing closer to $1000.

Hello, nothing wrong with the system specs, I just purchased a new laptop/Gateway with pretty much same specs, except i have a bg wireless card and mk 40 amd turion, but still a dang good buy i spengt like $749.00 I would like to add in your question you stated you think its a good deal for a basic laptop?
1 gig memory etc.. is little more than basic . but i would say good buy go for it... although i am not a huge dell fan. also if it has IE.7 perinstalled as most dell systems do I would srngly recomend having her to change it to IE 6 , Version 7 has alot of issues that counteracts with errors with yahoo messnger and many other programs that require internet useage for updates etc.. is not compatible with IE 7. for more info visit micorsoft site and reviews etc..
