your wireless cards fastest connection is 11Mb/s (802.11b)

See your cards technical specs below:

700m supports Wireless G (54Mbps). Check following:

1. Open My Computer Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager
2. Under Network Adapters, Double Click Intel Pro Wireless
3. Under Advanced Tab Make Sure Wireless Mode is set to 'Use Default Value'. Someone might have setup your WiFi card to support 80211.b only.

If your wireless card is setup to use 802.11b and 802.11g and you still get 11Mbps max, then I suggest download latest drivers for Intel Pro from Intel's website and try again.

Lastly, might be a dumb suggestion, but make sure you have a 802.11g capable Wireless Router!

it is because your wireless card limits to 11 mbps and will not go any higher because that is the highest setting. You would have to buy a new wireless card if the one you have is intergrated. Then go with a PCMIA card that will maximize your speed to 54 mbps.

For the class G Specification, the main generally used instant device immediately, it fairly is as quickly because of the fact the community will run. besides the undeniable fact that, in case you're searching for a faster connection, i might take a verify out the 300 mbps Pre-N Specification routers that gets you there and furnish better reliability and sign variety.
