I've got to prepare 40 goodies bags for small kids below 12 for a company function. Any ideas what to get for them? The aim is to make these kids happy and ensure that they have fun. My budget is $400 for all.

Bottled Party strings, Party poppers, Mini water gun, balloons and candys. Put everything above in a nice bag and it'll make a very nice goody bag! BTW I'm an events assistance so i'm quite used to packing goody bags..hahaha...

Ten dollars a goodie bag! Nice!

I agree with the first person. Go to Oriental Trading. You can find a lot of fun stuffed animals there that I'm sure the kids would love. Candy's always a good thing, but make sure that it doesn't compromise all of the bag. As an alternative, you can put in "candy" granola bars, which parents usually approve. Put in little coloring pads; I used to love these when I was younger. For the older group, toss in a few of those cheap radio things- you know, the ones with the little flashlight built in.

Check out the catalog/website for Oriental Trading Company... they have a lot of little toys and stuff that you can use for goodie bags for kids. You can get a lot of fun items like yo-yo's, stickers, candy without blowing your budget.

Depends on how much time you have, try Oriental Trading Co. and Targets dollar section is usually great! Kids like bubbles, candy, and anything that makes them laugh (the last party we went to had the fake gum that when you pulled out the piece of gum a fake cockroach would pop on your finger, the kids were thrilled and thought it was HILARIOUS!) Hope it helps, most things they love. Good Luck!

Boys: One of those rubber wristbands, candy, and a toy that shoots something.
Girls: Like one or two of those things you get from Bath and Body Works.

bubbles are always good.
So are cool pens and pencils.
If you really want to be creative, put some fun pads (like crossword puzzles, mad libs, etc.) in them.
