The first two weeks of September is one of the best times to travel in Greece - It can still be hot but, not as hot as July and August and it is less crowded. But around the third week of September you are likely to get more wind on some islands. This has true since ancient and times, and I believe it is even mentioned in Homer.

Yes, September is a nice month for the greek islands, but mostly the beginning. The entire september is fine as far as the temperature goes, but there might be some rain at the end of september once in a while. And it's not too hot, so you don't feel you really want to cool down in the sea, although the sea is still warm. But on the other hand, not being too warm is good for tourisms, because you can walk and visit places easier, without the heat wave. So yes, September is a good month.

Hi.September on the greek islands can be warm but rarelly hot. If you go to the greek islands you have to consider winds which might add a cool touch to the daily temperatures in September. This of course also depends on which Island you are planning to visit. All in all September can be a very nice month to go visit the greek islands. You do not have the high heat and temperatures which exhaust you during the real hot summermonths and which make the noon and early afternoon hours sometimes almost unbearable. For the evening you might want to take a light jacket along with you.

A few years ago I was in Greece for a full summer (July & August). September is still quite warm except that in the north - The Pelapanese area, may feel cool at times.

Sometimes it is really hot!
September is the best month for holiday, because everything runs like a clock but there are no madding crowds on the beaches!

Have fun!

Yes- my son was there at the end of July and it was very hot. I don't think it really cools off much until November.
