Didn't help me a bit. It was ok while the baby nursed, but once I stopped I was so used to eating ravenously that I gained back a ton right away.

I nursed both of my children for a year. By the time I was finished breastfeeding both of them I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. You have to remember to cut your calories toward the end when the baby is eating more solids and only nursing a few times a day, or you;ll start to gain weight. Good Luck with the second!

I lost all my baby weight in a matter of months and I think breastfeeding is what did it since I didn't change my diet or activity levels at all after giving birth. Go for it!

The weight melted off with both babies by the six week checkup. More importantly, formula use lowers the iq, increases risk of diabetes and cancer (even cancer in the mom), increases risk of allergies, hurts the immune system, goodness knows what else, and damages bonding. Nursing is an incredible mothering tool.

Completely depends. Some people lose, some people actually keep extra weight on. (It's an evolutionary mechanism to protect against a famine). If you lost the first time, you will probably lose the second time. Your body seems to use your resources well. Good luck!
