I was a army brat and now I am a army wife and I will admit I have lost ALOT of friends due to moving from place to the next. It seems once you move to a new place it is alot harder to keep those friends you had at your last duty station. So far the longest friendship I have had is a friend from when we were in the 5th grade.( i am 31 now) and that friendship has gone thru alot of address changes and refinding each other!

Well I had one friend last year that I made in February but she was such a liar that by June we weren't friends anymore. And then I had two good friends last year. One, I was friends with from 10-12th grade but she went to college this fall so I don't talk to her anymore and then the other one i was friends with the entire time in high school, 9-12th grade, but she's doing like, the military or something like that. And the girl that introduced us, we were friends too but not for long. So i lost a few but that's just the way it is

Too many. I lived in nine different states before the age of 18. Having moved so much, I've learned that keeping in touch is extremely important. There a few people who failed to keep it, and are lost forever. I don't know if it's just that they didn't care, or they were simply absent-minded, but to me, important friendships are like a flower or plant-you must nuture it, or it will shrivel-up and die.

Whew I'm 35 so I'd have to say I've lost many due to growing up, growing apart, college. marriages, moving. But my 2 true friends are still my best friends even though we are 2600 miles apart

Its funny that you should ask that.
My best friend first of all gets offended very easy.
I offended her and now she is mad and I said I was sorry but she say that our friendship will never be the same.
We have been best friends for 12 years or longer.
Maybe she will come around.

I have been there 20 years.
12 died. 3 of the 12 were killed
2 moved away.
I keep my remaining friends, very close.

Sadly, a lot of them, but then I think, true friends are never lost, so the ones that aren't my friends anymore weren't my friends to begin with.
