How long do you usually bleed? Because I've been bleeding (red blood) a light flow; nothing heavy but it has been red...and I've been keeping in contact with my doctors, who said they thought I was probably having a miscarriage. Well this was two days ago and I'm still lightly bleeding. No cramps. So does the bleeding usually last that long, or could I still be pregnant and something else is going on? I'm having another hCG blood level test Tuesday...but this not knowing is so stressful and worrisome. Any help is appreciated; thank you to those who've answered my other pregnancy Q's as I work thru this.

I should say that I DID have cramps on the day that I had the most bleeding, which was on Thursday (1/4), so a miscarriage cannot be ruled out. But why am I still having the light bleeding now?

It could still be a miscarriage, although I find it odd that you're not cramping, yet. I would wait and see until Tuesday, but bring up the no-cramping thing to your doctor. That doesn't sound characteristic of a miscarriage.

If the blood is light and healthy looking and not like menstrual blood you could be having implantation bleeding which is very common. No cramps is a good indication that everything could still be okay. I had the same thing with my first pregnancy and it stopped after three days, but was very stressful as I thought I was losing the baby. Stay off your feet and try to rest your mind as well. What will be will be and worry won't help anything. Good luck to you..

I'm so sorry!! Dealing with miscarriage is really hard. I can only speak from my experience and from what I've heard from those around me who have had miscarriages. But everyone I know have had pretty bad cramping. Mine were really bad but I was also pretty far along. There is still a chance that you are pregnant. There are other reasons for bleeding besides a miscarriage. Good luck!! I hope everything turns out fine!!!

I bled for three days before the cramps started. The blood test confirmed the miscarriage. Had a D and C and bled for three more weeks. This was at 11 weeks.

Some women have Periods or Irregular periods during their pregnancy.

The may have spotting or only one period during their pregnancy and have a child born in perfect health,.. even if they had periods through their entire pregnancy.

So your doctor won't know until he examines you. If he didn't examine you and brushed you off with a "yeah your haveing a miscarriage" get a new Ob
