I've had no cramps or bleeding at all. Should I be worried?? This is my first pregnancy.

They did a blood test and I was asked to go back in 2 more days to get another blood test to see if my hcg levels were ok. I did forget to mention that we did see the baby and from the last u/s the baby has grown. I'm just a little scared because this is our first baby.

I was able to see the fetus.....like I stated before it grew from my last u/s.

Don't worry too much just yet. I imagine they did a quanitative HCG and have scheduled another ultrasound in a week or two possibly with some additional HCG tests.

Until then relax there is little you can do, I wish you all the best. We went through this with my son Tyler, our second child and all was okay. The dates were just a little off. And we also went through this another time, in between our second and third children, where we learned the pregnancy had stopped developing. We waited for natural miscarriage and when it didn't happen we ended up having to have a D&C. But it's early yet.

Do your best just to wait it out I know it's really hard. Hopefully your husband/partner is very supportive, I wish you all the best.

ADDED

That the baby grew is an excellent sign and very encouraging. I know it will be hard to wait until the results of the 2nd HCG test, but it's pretty much all you can do. I would be very encouraged that the baby had grown.

Hi. I am wondering why you have had 2 transonic vaginal ultrasounds if you are only 9 weeks. Have you been having some problems? Is this routine where you live? It is not in Canada, where I live.I have given birth to 4 children, and have never needed to have an ultrasound twice so early. Is there a specific reason for this?

You are very early in this pregnancy for the heart beat to be detected. This is very NORMAL! Its OK. Around 10 or 12 weeks you will most likely be able to hear it! What has the doctor said?

Try not to worry!

The best answer is the answer from your doctor. If you don't feel like you trust him/her, then ask around about him/her and get some other peoples opinions about that doctor.

**If you experience pain or severe cramping in your vagina, abdomen, lower back, or tummy area, then go to the hospital. There isnt always bleeding with miscarriage. I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy, and there was no blood until a week later. I had the bad cramps and pain in my vagina, lower back and abdomen.**

I'm afraid that if they couldn't see a heartbeat then there probably isn't one. The fetus would be large enough to detect a heartbeat on a transvag ultrasound. If you were 6 weeks then I'd think a bit differently, but at 9 it should show very clearly. I apologize for being a bit blunt, but you came here asking and this is what I know from my own experiences. It is not unusual to not have bleeding or cramping at this point.

I wish you all the best and I'm sorry.

9 weeks can sometimes be to early to detect a heartbeat, even with ultrasound. Maybe your conception date is even off by a few days? 10-12 weeks is more common to see the heartbeats. Even a day mkes a big differance this early. If you're not bleeding or cramping I wouldn't give up hope yet!

I had my miscarriage at 11 weeks. However, the fetus that was delivered was only at 8 weeks development. So it took 3 weeks from the time the fetus lost viability to the time I miscarried.
Not saying there is no hope for you, but it's something you may have to consider.

Hopefully everything will work out for the best for you! Good luck!

It all depends on where the fetus is lying. It could be nestled up to high and not large enough to see or hear. I wouldn't give up hope till about 15 weeks and they still don't see a fetus or no heartbeat. Good Luck.

In my experience with the trans-vaginal you can I could see the heartbeat at 9 weeks. And then later on at about 13 weeks it stopped beating and I had a miscarriage but not for about a week. Could they hear anything?? I hope the best for you!! Good luck!!

I don't know hun. The only thing I know is to wait and see. God knows what is best. Maybe there is nothing wrong. Nine weeks is still early. I have lost two children. It is not an easy thing to go through, even if the pregnancy wasn't planned. Like I said, God knows best and he will put no more on you than you can handle. Just remember at nine weeks your baby is microscopic, emagine how little it's heart is!!

It's something to be concerned about. Get another ultrasound exam for confirmation, or have your doctor give you a quantitative beta hCG blood test. This blood test shows the level of pregnancy hormone in your blood, if there isn't enough that's an indication that something isn't right. Good luck.

didnt you ask your dr about this? Did he think that this was normal? Your dr would have told you what to expect, i mean if you have another appt scheduled or he acted normal im guessing things are fine. It does seem a bit odd though. I heard my babies heart beat at 10 weeks. I would call your dr for more answers.
