Well, I don't know where you read it, but it's garbage. They're either generally well endowed in the boobs, or they have none to speak of. And I can't even fathom where you read they're prone to alcoholism. If anything, they try to reform the alcoholics. Alcoholics generally have a heavy Neptune/ Pisces or 12th house influence. If there's anything Cancer women are prone to, it's their emotions, and people taking advantage of them. And if they're heavy around the midsection it comes from childbirth, and eating food on the table that's leftover because it's a sin to throw food in the garbage when so many people in the world are starving. And so they eat it, rather than throw it away. That, and they are generally awesome good cooks! Cancer is ruled by the moon. It generally gives a light hair color. But mostly how you look is determined by your rising sign, and not your sun sign. I mean, you could be a Cancer female, but if your rising sign is Sag or Aquarius, that will make you taller, and angular, depending on where Jupiter or Uranus is placed in your chart, and certainly not chunky. How do astrologers know such things - years of study (both scientific - as in Sakoian and Acker- and just by doing thousands of charts. And you can throw in Einstein's study and Jung's studies as well!

Cancers seem to be brunette, but they also tend to have blue eyes, gain weight easy (we're emotional and have a strong connection with food), and it's the Pisces who are more prone to alcoholism, not necessarily the Cancers. (Pisces have a "live in the clouds" attitude that kind of makes them prone to addictions). Cancer women also are supposed to either have a full chest or no chest at all, and round "moon-like" faces.

There's a ton of websites that talk about it, but I'm not sure how any astrologers know things like this.

Cancers are said to either have food issues, or, they simply like to cook and eat and feed people; I'd bet that's the basis of the mid-section comment. I have not heard and do not think that they are anymore prone to alcoholism than the next person, but Pisces folk are thought to be, perhaps that comment came from guilt-by-association since Cancer is also a water sign. I know of no astrological research concerning hair color!
