I am a writer working on a story about straw bale houses. I already wrote an article using locals who have built straw bale houses, but I need people in other parts of the US in order to submit to national magazines. If you've built a straw bale house, can you tell me why you chose to build a "green" house and did you build it yourself? If so, how long did it take you?

A local here built a straw bail building for a bar. Its a really neat building they call it the straw bail salon. It is located south of spencer nebraska on hwy 281 by the spencer dam.
