You won't be able to really get to the point of being an accountant without finding out along the way that you hate it, and theres a lot of ground to cover before you get there.
The odds are, that in your college/university you'll start by taking a basics of accounting along with a lot of other general business classes, so you'll have time to decide before you commit to it.
As a general rule though, if you don't have a strong attention for detail, don't like working with numbers, and don't like number puzzle solving, you probably won't excel at or be comfortable long term as an accountant.

It's not necessarily boring. It just depends on what you like to do. If you enjoy working on your own, working with numbers, paying painstaking attention to detail and getting paid a whole lot of money, then become a CPA!
