If a lot of scientists believe that humans evolved from apes, then why didn't the apes that are living now evlove into humans? Now that's what's being taught in school and watching "Walking With Cavemen", they showed the "homo erectus" and also the normal ape or chimpanzee which did not evolve into a human. If that was so, then how did we come from an ape? Just food for thought. Not trying to be offensive or anything. If I was, then I apologize for offending you, but I needed to know.

I have to agree with the person that said that we all were put here by a "higher power". And by believing that, I just don't see how humans come to the conclusion that we came from apes; ridiculous!

I agree with you, I've had the same Thought but in the scientist's
case tell them to look in the mirror and say "Yes, in your case you do have a point.

The short and simple answer is: why won't turtles evolve into human beings? The reason is because there are specific biological and environmental things keeping turtles from going down that path. It's the same with current and past apes. Human beings evolved because the bone structure in our head allowed for more room for a brain because of our eating habits, and other apes didn't have that diet. It's possible that current apes could evolve but it's doubtful... it would take thousands of years and the current environment dominated by humans might prevent it completely.

this is what i read somewhere ok? When the population of apes increased some of them started moving to different environment or places. Due to this they had to get adapted to different environment and for this they needed adaptations. So like lets just take an example of an owl. They r adapted to night. So now the apes tht moved away from their home place are different. they eat different things. They are changing but the apes tht stayed back aren't. Just keep in mind tht it took them years to get adapted. So now the apes have changed so much they are a completely a different species. SO now we hav so-called humans on earth.

I beleive we were all brought here from God. It's just not logical that we evolved from anything because when you keep going down the line, the last organism can't just evolve from no where, we were all put here by a higher power. Sorry if I'm offending anybody.

Scientists don't believe that we evolved FROM apes. They believe that humans and apes evolved alongside each other from the same sources.

just because you believe in God doesnt mean you cant believe in Evolution........i believe in both..........i believe God made all living organisms billions of years ago and it started from there........

yes Apes and Humans are related..........we are their descendants........

the apes and chimps who did not evolve were different species from humans.........but closely related........they did not evolve simply because they did not need to..........their environment did not require it........

the species Homo Sapiens evolved from lived in a more dangerous and more difficult environment..........this forced them to change rapidly........since they were not bigger or stronger than their "enemies" they were forced to grow smarter........

open up your mind.........it doesnt have to be one way or the other......

before you dismiss it as "ridiculous" try spending some time with any ape........especially a Gorilla or a Chimpanzee........i guarantee it will blow your mind........its jaw dropping how similar they are to humans........

in fact, i would say there are more things that make them similar to us than makes us different.........even physically.........

its not just intelligence.......they have something almost no other animal on Earth has........EMOTIONS........they actually feel.......they feel loss......pain......sorrow.........and also happiness.......most other animals only act by instinct.........not emotion...........

spend 30 minutes face to face with an ape and youll change your mind.........look them in the eye, and watch them look back.......
